Chopstar-HybridEinböckThe Chopstar-Hybrid has been developed for hoeing weeds in mulch stands. Flat discs sit on the hoeing bodies, which can rotate freely. The plates cut the roots of the weeds just below the soil’s surface. The flanged wheels cut the soil and mulch layer and prevent a blockage of the plates. The machine can also be combined with automated camera steering.Root crops,
special crops, cultivation of vegetables, crops with high leaf mass
Chopstar Twin Hackgerät
(Harrow)
EinböckThe Chopstar-Twin harrow was developed for exact hoeing on top of rows. The hoeing parallelogram does not work classically between the rows, it is arranged directly above the row producing a very narrow hoeing belt. The angle-adjustable hollow discs in combination with protractors offer the possibility of hoeing young plants very early and very tightly. Two farm flex wheels support an exact working depth of the hoeing elements. Root crops,
special crops, cultivation of vegetables
RotapullTechnische Universität DresdenThe Rotapull principle was developed for flexible soil cultivation, which adapts to different soil or vegetation conditions. Rotapull combines wrought coulter tools with a rotor. Its developers have created a new operating principle combining a simple construction with high power and flexible adaptation to different conditions. The results is a deeper soil loosening with manageable seedbed cultivation.Soil tillage; stubble tillage
Plug-Mulch-Verfahren (Plough- mulch- method)Technische Universität DresdenThe machine combines the agricultural advantages of ploughing with the advantages of mulch seeding. The two steps are united into one operation (front mulcher - tractor - plough combination). The grown green manure plants or harvest residues are applied directly to the ploughed area during ploughing. The special front-mounted throw-distribution mulcher removes the organic material from the front area of the tractor before passing over and distributing it on the adjacent ploughed area. Ploughing and mulching combination
Leibing-Hacke (Harrow)Dieter Leibing Maschinenbau & BiohofIn contrast to conventional hoeing machines, the Leibing-Harrow, which is attached to the front, has only one hinge per coulter; depth control is provided through a skid. The hoeing coulters can be adjusted regarding working depth and angle using the hole-grid. Telescopic gas springs control the pressure to the soil. The hydraulic version with adjustable coulter pressure, individual coulters or or coulter parts can be lifted.Universal hoeing machine for row crops
Viermann Sv-15MViermann Maschinen GmbHUnderfloor irrigation is uncomplicated, preserves resources and promotes uniform growth. The SV-15M, Viermann offers an effective and easy-to-handle technique for installing hoses. The SV-15M demonstrates its benefits particularly when used for sensitive cultivars or in small-scale agricultural units.Irrigation of vegetable areas; lawns
Unkrautroboer (Weed robot)
Anatis
Pool / CarréThis agricultural robot maintains the cultivated areas automatically. It does not only remove weeds - it also records various parameters such as weed pressure, density, degree of ripeness and moisture. These values can help to make crop management decisions. The robot, powered through an electric motor, moves with a system that includes GPS guidance, cameras and lasers. The farmer can monitor the weed robot via smartphone or tablet.Vegetable and special crops
Großroboter (Large-scale robot) DinoKULT / Naio TechnologiesNaio Technologies is currently working on a weed robot for large vegetable cultivations. The large robot is equipped with GPS and camera control and can thus be scaled to the crop/row spacing. Its working width for the beds ranges from 1.50 m to 1.80 m. The tools like hoe and harrow are flexibly exchangeable and can thus be adapted to the crops. The aim is to also prepare the weeding robot for other tasks such as sowing and fertilising. It is currently still in the prototype stage.Vegetable and special crops
Track Rollspurlockerer (Loosener)Universität HalleThe Track Loosener was developed to avoid water erosion in root crops as much as possible. It is an add-on for hoeing machines. The tines cut like digging forks about 25 cm deep into the soil. This loosens and enlarges the soil surface again, so that rainwater drains off more slowly. The Track Loosener has been tested in the field and its potential for reducing erosion has been confirmed.Row hoeing machine
Grimme TerraProtect GRIMME Landmaschinenfabrik
The Grimme TerraProtect creates transverse embankments between the potato ridges, which reduce the risk of erosion and at the same time promote water infiltration. Tines at the very front of the machine loosen the soil which also increases the water infiltration. Another feature is the intelligent control system for the transverse embankments depending on the pace and tramlining control. Transverse embankments for ridge cultivation
Mulch-Pflanz-Maschine (Mulching-Planting-Machine)Live2giveThe recently developed MulchTec planting technology makes it possible to plant young vegetable plants mechanically into a closed mulch cover. The mulch layer is cut by a cutting device, afterwards the plant is placed into the hole and the mulch cover is closed again by pressure rollers. An integrated underfloor fertilising device ensures sufficient nutrient supply from the beginning, even during the time in which the mulch layer itself does not provide nutrients yet.Planting vegetable into mulch cover
Sensorensystem Bienengesundheit (Bee health sensor system) Universität KasselThe monitoring system has been developed to support the management of bee health and productivity. The system consists of several monitoring units for data collection and a control unit for mobile power supply. Each monitoring unit consists of a minicomputer and several sensors that record parameters concerning the colony and the environment at specific time intervals (e.g. weight of the colony, temperature and humidity in the apiary and outside, noise). The data is transferred to a server where it is analysed and the information is later sent to the beekeeper via smartphone.Beekeeping, bee management
